Mike’s career spans over 40 years but his family has been involved in makeup for longer than that: his grandfather George created the very first studio make-up department 100 years ago this year. His family has worked on iconic films like Gone With the Wind and the Creature of the Black Lagoon. He is best know for his work on the Star Trek franchise, Rocky and Raging Bull, the movie that helped create the SFX makeup category for the Oscars. And of course, he has served as a mentor (including to our very own Frank Ippolito) on the Syfy Show Face Off.
